The position being offered is located at 6425 28th St SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is an opportunity to join a company that values customer service, teamwork, and operational excellence. The role focuses on preparing coffee shop beverages and food items, handling transactions at the cash register, and providing courteous customer service. Key responsibilities include brewing, mixing, and blending beverages to a set standard, preparing food items according to established procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work environment. The associate will also be responsible for operating the cash register to process payments by various methods including cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons. Additional duties involve stocking and rotating coffee products and merchandise displays, staying informed about current store programs and product locations, and ensuring the efficient operation of coffee shop equipment and check-stand technology.
Compliance is a crucial aspect of this role, with expectations to adhere to company policies on security, cash handling, product handling, and sanitation procedures. Maintaining a clean and well-stocked department, communicating promotional programs and in-store specials, and following personal protective equipment (PPE), safety, food safety, and cleaning guidelines are also part of the daily responsibilities. This role may require flexibility as the associate might be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move stock, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
