Job Requirements
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Ability to perform medium physical work involving exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Clarity of vision at distances more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Willingness to work night and weekend shifts
- Ability to smile and engage positively with customers
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name when possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly service including taking orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food in a safe manner and ensure the work area is clean and neat
- Review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Ensure adequate food supply is ready and on hand and follow a production list
- Anticipate product needs daily
- Prepare and replenish products as necessary
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices
- Run department registers and handle payments
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Maintain adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Order products and supplies as necessary
- Price products for customers
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
