The role of a Starbucks Barista within Target’s Food & Beverage team is focused on delivering an exceptional coffeehouse experience to guests while ensuring operational excellence. The Starbucks Barista acts as an expert in food quality and freshness, food safety regulations, and customer service. Duties include greeting guests warmly, crafting hand-made beverages and quality food items according to precise recipes, maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the Starbucks space, and supporting store operations such as drive-up order fulfillment and merchandising. This role contributes significantly to the smooth running of food and beverage services, ensuring timely replenishment of products, accuracy in inventory management, and adherence to health and safety protocols.

ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends holidays and peak shopping times
capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently within established timeframes
must be able to stand for extended periods and remain mobile during shifts
ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance
access to all areas of the building and ability to climb ladders if needed
capacity to work in refrigeration and freezer environments and exposure to varying temperatures
willingness to adhere to all safety policies and food safety guidelines
ability to handle cash register operations and use handheld technology equipment

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
ability to communicate effectively using multiple frequency devices
capable of working independently and as part of a team
strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
