- previous hospitality, barista, cashiering or customer service experience preferred
- must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques
- basic mathematical skills
- ability to effectively resolve conflict situations
- ability to read and speak English
- ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, barista, cashiering or customer service experience is preferred
- must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total all other charges
- ability to effectively resolve conflict situations such as inaccurate check total
- ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand menus and special promotions and communicate with guests
- ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions
Job Duties
- Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing Starbucks beverages to standard
- maintain condition and cleanliness of work area
- follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products
- ascertain guest satisfaction, in the event of dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation
- comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management
- balance house bank at the end of the shift
- perform any general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
