Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a prominent hospitality and food service provider known for delivering exceptional culinary experiences across various venues. Currently, Delaware North is seeking seasonal Stand Cooks to join their dynamic team at Miami Freedom Park in Miami, Florida. Miami Freedom Park is set to be a state-of-the-art soccer stadium and entertainment destination in South Florida, slated to open in 2026 as the future home of Inter Miami CF. As a Stand Cook at Miami Freedom Park, your role involves preparing food and beverage products for guests by adhering strictly to recipe guidelines, employing proper preparation techniques, and maintaining sanitation standards. The role offers competitive seasonal pay ranging from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour and comes with a comprehensive benefits package. Stand Cooks are responsible for opening and closing kitchen procedures, operating and setting up kitchen equipment, and ensuring that food production stations are kept clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked throughout service hours. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, and working in varying temperature conditions.
Shifts may include days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and event schedules, offering a flexible work environment to accommodate different lifestyles and commitments. - Able to stand for long periods of time including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching
- able to lift 20 lbs or more
- exposed to variable temperatures
Job Qualifications
- Ability to follow recipes and food abbreviations
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
- basic math skills
- no experience or diploma required
Job Duties
- Follow the supervisor’s assignments for opening and closing procedures as well as food production
- set up and operation of kitchen equipment
- clean equipment properly according to correct procedures
- keep the workstation clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
