Job Description

Rhino Staging is a leading provider of professional stage crew services for live events, specializing in concert tours, festivals, corporate events, and other live entertainment productions across the nation. Founded in 1991, Rhino Staging has established a strong reputation based on its core philosophy of doing things right and treating people well, which has allowed it to remain at the forefront of the industry. The company is known for its dedication to integrity, safety, and professional development, pioneering many positive changes throughout the entertainment industry. Rhino’s crews are recognized as some of the safest, most proficient, and professional in the business, working with some of the largest production companies and venues of all sizes.

As Rhino Staging expands its footprint to new markets in New York, including Syracuse and surrounding areas, they are offering exciting employment opportunities across all positions related to stagehand work. These positions include general stagehands such as loaders and pushers, skilled stagehands like carpenters, electricians, audio, lighting, and video technicians, as well as experienced riggers who are professionals working at heights. Rhino Staging is committed to providing comprehensive training for well-qualified candidates, although previous industry experience and flexible availability are preferred.

These are on-call, as-needed W-2 positions with variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with no guaranteed minimum hours per week or month. Some opportunities may extend to working in additional locations within the tri-state area, including Rochester, for those with the flexibility to travel. Employees are expected to work cohesively with team members and supervisors, wearing appropriate attire and footwear consistent with Rhino policies to ensure safety and professionalism.

Physical demands of the role require the ability to push, pull, and lift equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, as well as consistent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and twisting throughout event tasks. For riggers, climbing and working at heights is an essential part of the job. Candidates must have reliable transportation to event sites to meet timeliness requirements and possess effective English communication skills to ensure safe task execution and coordination in fast-paced, high-risk environments.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Although not required, certifications such as Fall Protection, SPRAT, or IRATA are preferred for rigging roles. Rhino Staging is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, or veteran status.

The compensation for these roles reflects new hire rates across all U.S. locations, determined by the work location, relevant experience, skills, and training. Employees are not eligible for stock or stock options. Rhino participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility and ensures reasonable accommodations to those with disabilities to perform essential communication functions safely and effectively.

This opportunity represents a chance to be part of a renowned company known for excellence in live event production, safety-first culture, and career growth potential within an exciting and dynamic entertainment industry environment.
