As a company deeply rooted in values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Aramark promotes a workplace where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to grow professionally. This commitment to employee development and positive workplace culture reflects in Aramark's robust career growth opportunities and comprehensive employee support programs. The company takes pride in fostering a dynamic environment where talent flourishes, and employees are encouraged to pursue new challenges and professional growth at every stage of their career.
The Barback role at Aramark is a vital support position within the bar and beverage service team. This role primarily focuses on ensuring that the bar operations run smoothly by maintaining inventory, stocking, cleaning, and helping the bartenders and other staff members as needed. The Barback assists with crucial opening and closing tasks, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring the availability of clean towels and glassware for bartenders. An essential responsibility includes transporting products efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy with transfer sheets, and supporting the reorder process to meet business and guest needs consistently.
Additionally, the Barback plays a significant role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across bar workstations and guest service areas. This includes wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, scrubbing coolers, cleaning storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles. The Barback also monitors and maintains bar equipment such as taps and appliances, ensuring proper operation and timely replacement of kegs when necessary. Excellent customer service is at the heart of the Barback’s duties, requiring a positive demeanor and attentiveness towards guests, colleagues, and clients to enhance the overall customer experience.
Working in the fast-paced and dynamic environment of Aramark requires physical endurance, as the role involves constant standing, walking, and manual tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. Compliance with safety protocols and food sanitation standards is mandatory to uphold Aramark’s commitment to quality and safety for both employees and guests. The Barback position may also require the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to uniform guidelines.
At Aramark, employees find an inclusive workplace where their contributions matter and their professional development is supported. The company embraces flexibility with work schedules, recognizing the importance of accommodating different shifts, including evenings and weekends. If you are someone who excels in a team-oriented setting, thrives in a fast-paced atmosphere, and enjoys delivering excellent service while maintaining organized and efficient bar operations, the Barback role offers a rewarding opportunity to grow your skills in the hospitality and food service industry. Joining Aramark means being part of a global company dedicated to doing great things for its employees, clients, communities, and the planet, ensuring your work has a meaningful and impactful purpose.
