Job Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Previous secretarial experience required
  • Previous hospital staffing experience preferred
  • Word processing experience required
  • Excel, Access, or other database experience preferred
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and organize workload, prioritize and use good judgement
  • General office skills
  • Ability to manage all types of stress well in a high demanding position

Job Duties

  • Perform daily staffing functions for all assigned units in collaboration with unit Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse Supervisor or designees
  • Be charged with the master scheduling process for all assigned units
  • Be accountable for the maintenance of the registry/traveler credentialing process
  • Be responsible for unit placement of registry staff
  • Assist with secretarial, clerical and receptionist support for the Clinical Support Services Department
  • Maintain lines of communication while maintaining confidentiality of patient and employee information
  • Work under direct supervision of Staffing Supervisor
  • Demonstrate and role model the NorthBay Way principles consisting of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence
