FirstService Residential values a welcoming and inclusive work environment, encouraging team members to grow and succeed while contributing to the company's mission of enhancing residents' lifestyles through dedicated property management services.
The role on offer is that of a Customer Service Representative primarily stationed within a residential or hospitality setting, where providing an outstanding customer experience is paramount. This full-time position involves acting as the first point of contact for residents and guests, delivering warm greetings and assistance as they arrive and depart from the property. The successful candidate will provide a variety of guest services including managing baggage, packages, groceries, and parking inquiries while also offering helpful information about hotel services, local shopping, dining, entertainment options, and travel directions. The position requires a proactive, outgoing, and friendly personality that enjoys interpersonal interactions and thrives in a customer-oriented environment.
In addition to guest interaction, the role involves ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of equipment used during the service process and promptly reporting any malfunctions to appropriate departments. The Customer Service Representative will be expected to handle resident and guest complaints efficiently, resolving issues and following up to ensure satisfaction. Maintaining safety protocols and a safe working environment is critical, along with the flexibility to undertake additional duties as needed to contribute to the smooth operation of the residential or hospitality facility.
Physical demands are significant, including the handling and lifting of heavy baggage (50 to 100 pounds), standing for extended periods, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, ranging from heat to rain. The role requires the candidate to possess effective communication skills, with the ability to share and receive information clearly in both written and verbal forms. Multilingual skills are considered an asset, reflecting the diverse nature of the residents and guests served by the company.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with a valid Florida driver’s license. Previous experience in similar roles is preferred to ensure familiarity with customer service standards and operational procedures. The position offers competitive compensation ranging between $16 to $17 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including multiple medical plans, dental, vision, paid holidays, time off benefits, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
Working hours include Friday from 3 pm to 11 pm and Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11 pm to 7 am, requiring availability for extended and flexible scheduling. As part of FirstService Residential’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, the company encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, providing reasonable accommodations when required. The recruitment process may include an Automated Employment Decision Tool to ensure objective evaluation based on job-related criteria.
