Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is currently seeking to hire a Staff Systems Engineer to join their multifaceted engineering team located in one of several locations including Oklahoma City, OK; Melbourne, FL; Rancho Bernardo, CA; or Palmdale, CA. This role demands an accomplished engineer who will serve as an individual contributor in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure, helping to advance the development and refinement of next-generation program requirements and influencing future technology capabilities. The Staff Systems Engineer will be deeply involved in conducting research, writing detailed technical requirements, developing system models, defining system interfaces, and conducting comprehensive technical analysis. Collaboration across engineering disciplines and communication with both internal stakeholders and external customers is a key component of this position. Additionally, this role includes leading major milestone events to ensure all programmatic requirements are met, maintaining configuration management discipline for systems engineering artifacts, and managing complex relationships with suppliers and technical teams. The Staff Systems Engineer will act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) to oversee scope, schedule, cost, and technical delivery, ensuring adherence to Earned Value Management System (EVMS) practices. They will facilitate risk and opportunity management processes, lead cross-functional teams, and coordinate technical, cost, and schedule integration across projects.

This position requires a candidate comfortable with Agile methodologies, experienced in the use of DOORS for requirements management, skilled in scripting languages such as Python, and adept at stakeholder communication and leadership. The role requires an active US Government Security Clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range from $144,900 to $217,300 based on experience and education, plus the potential for overtime pay, bonuses, and long-term incentives for executive-level employees.
