The role of Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health is pivotal in delivering this mission. Job Requirements
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
- Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly as needed
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
- Friendly and helpful customer service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use math for prescription calculations
- Effective issue resolution skills
- Physical ability to remain upright and mobile for extended periods
- Ability to lift items up to 20 lbs and perform various physical tasks
- Ability to communicate detailed instructions accurately
- Willingness to perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
- 1-2 years of related work experience preferred
- Ability to work at different locations as required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Oversee pharmacy operations during bench shifts and act as proxy for Pharmacy Manager
- Assume day-to-day duties of Pharmacy Manager when primary pharmacist-on-duty
- Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing pharmacy workflow procedures
- Provide compassionate care and coaching focused on positive patient experiences
- Offer and deliver immunizations while supporting Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
- Manage pharmacy inventory by enforcing best practices and protecting cold chain products
- Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalate concerns as necessary
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling and support a safe, inclusive team environment
- Stay updated on clinical and technical skills through training and education
- Support clinical care services like testing and prescribing to improve patient outcomes
- Comply with federal and state laws, professional standards, and CVS Health policies
