The role of Staff Engineer Systems – Global Engineering Manager (26-329) is a pivotal position located in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, within Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration. This role directly supports the U.S. President, Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders by enabling advanced ballistic missile defense strategic operations through the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. C2BMC is a critical operational system that facilitates the coordinated control and monitoring of networked sensors and weapons systems globally and regionally to optimize defensive responses against missile threats.

The Global Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing technical, cost, and schedule performance within the Global Engineering Management Portfolio, working closely with the Systems Engineering and Verification Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to ensure adherence to efficient engineering processes. This position requires meticulous management of team dependencies, risk tracking, documentation of technical challenges and resolutions, and support in proposal development including authoring estimates and statements of work. The manager ensures that all technical commitments are met or exceeded, contributing to the successful delivery of complex, layered missile defense capabilities.

This position demands onsite presence with no remote work options and does not include relocation assistance. Requiring a current Top Secret security clearance, applicants must be prepared for travel approximately 10% of the time. The compensation range for this role is competitive, between $161,000 and $253,600 annually, reflective of experience, education, and job scope. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives for certain positions.
