The Chief Engineer position on the Deep-Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program is a critical leadership role located in Colorado Springs, CO. This role focuses on the development and deployment of ground-based radar systems, ideally with experience in fixed radar installations. The Chief Engineer will oversee and direct all engineering activities to meet key milestones, manage technical risks through comprehensive mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with the Integrated Master Schedule. Reporting directly to the DARC Portfolio Chief Engineer, this leader will coordinate across multiple engineering teams to drive progress and technical excellence. This position is pivotal in managing the technical aspects of weapon system design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery to customers, ensuring sound engineering processes that align with company and quality standards. An essential part of the role involves supporting the program manager with risk and opportunity management, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring affordability and quality. The position requires a deep understanding of complex radar systems integration and test as well as excellent communication skills for interfacing with executives and government customers. The salary range for this role is $161,000 to $241,400, with opportunities for bonuses and long-term incentives depending on the position and performance.
