Job Requirements

  • Top Secret security clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with six years experience in international politics, foreign policy, military, defense, or security cooperation
  • prior experience with the Department of State or federal agency preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge management tools preferred
  • travel management experience preferred
  • strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across locations
  • ability to work independently and assess priorities
  • must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with six years of relevant experience
  • prior experience with the Department of State or another federal agency preferred
  • experience in foreign affairs administration, travel planning, and political-military affairs preferred
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge management tools preferred
  • travel management experience including E2 Solutions preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a multicultural environment
  • must pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications

Job Duties

  • Route proposals, orders, and taskings to correct offices for action
  • track follow-up to closure
  • maintain knowledge management systems
  • support senior leader calendars, meetings, and logistics
  • manage domestic and international travel arrangements
  • receive, log, and process official communications
  • take and transcribe notes during meetings and briefings
  • draft and submit congressional reports and correspondence
  • serve as liaison for administrative HR actions
  • maintain timekeeping and compliance with attendance requirements
  • coordinate GSO work orders and IT issues
  • support onboarding and equipment issuance
  • schedule TS/TS-SCI meetings and track classified materials
  • perform special assignments with tact and discretion
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
