Job Requirements
- Top Secret security clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with six years experience in international politics, foreign policy, military, defense, or security cooperation
- prior experience with the Department of State or federal agency preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge management tools preferred
- travel management experience preferred
- strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across locations
- ability to work independently and assess priorities
- must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with six years of relevant experience
- prior experience with the Department of State or another federal agency preferred
- experience in foreign affairs administration, travel planning, and political-military affairs preferred
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge management tools preferred
- travel management experience including E2 Solutions preferred
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a multicultural environment
- must pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications
Job Duties
- Route proposals, orders, and taskings to correct offices for action
- track follow-up to closure
- maintain knowledge management systems
- support senior leader calendars, meetings, and logistics
- manage domestic and international travel arrangements
- receive, log, and process official communications
- take and transcribe notes during meetings and briefings
- draft and submit congressional reports and correspondence
- serve as liaison for administrative HR actions
- maintain timekeeping and compliance with attendance requirements
- coordinate GSO work orders and IT issues
- support onboarding and equipment issuance
- schedule TS/TS-SCI meetings and track classified materials
- perform special assignments with tact and discretion
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
