Job Description
Northrop Grumman is a global aerospace and defense technology leader committed to advancing the security and technological capabilities of the United States and its allies. Renowned for its pioneering spirit and innovative technologies, Northrop Grumman has played a vital role in many key historical milestones, including the first transatlantic flight, development of stealth bombers, and moon landings. As a company, Northrop Grumman fosters a workplace environment animated by intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for solving complex challenges. Employees are encouraged to bring their full selves to work, contributing to a dynamic culture that values diversity, creativity, and an unyielding drive to accomplish what others might consider impossible.
The company specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing advanced aerospace systems, defense technologies, and cybersecurity solutions. Its operations span areas including missile defense, space systems, autonomous systems, and electronic warfare. Northrop Grumman's commitment to national security is reflected in its broad portfolio of projects that support critical missions for the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
The Staff Agile Product Owner – Interface Product Owner position is an exceptional opportunity within Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems division, specifically under Missile Defense Integration. This role is located in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, and is integral to the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, a vital component of the United States’ ballistic missile defense infrastructure. The C2BMC program enables high-level strategic, regional, and operational decision-makers—including the U.S. President and the Secretary of Defense—to plan missile defense operations, monitor battles, and control sensor and weapon networks worldwide in real-time.
This position requires a high degree of technical expertise and leadership within an Agile Scrum framework. The product owner will lead the Interface Product Team in delivering key functionalities of the C2BMC system, working closely with government stakeholders, engineering teams, and program leadership. The role demands comprehensive coordination, prioritization of complex requirements, progress assessment, and the ability to interface with senior management and customers effectively.
The Staff Agile Product Owner will apply advanced technical and managerial skills to address complex problems where decisions have significant implications for the program's success and the technological reputation of Northrop Grumman. This role requires managing stakeholder expectations, preparing technical briefings and demonstrations, and contributing to program roadmaps. It also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and utilizing methodologies such as SE&V, Agile, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Given the sensitive nature of the work, the position is full-time on-site with no remote work options and requires at least a Secret-level security clearance to start.
Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary ranging from $161,000 to $253,600 per annum, reflecting factors like experience, education, and job responsibilities. Employees are eligible for overtime, shift differentials, annual bonuses, and long-term incentives depending on their position. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports work-life balance and professional growth, including health insurance, savings plans, paid time off, and education assistance. Working at Northrop Grumman means joining a respected defense contractor making a difference in national security while advancing your career in a challenging, rewarding environment.
