Job Description
St. Regis Bar is part of the renowned St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel brand under Marriott International, known worldwide for its timeless glamour and vanguard spirit. This prestigious hotel chain offers exquisite experiences across more than 50 luxury hotels and resorts in prime locations around the globe. Established in the early 20th century by John Jacob Astor IV, the St. Regis brand has upheld an unwavering commitment to bespoke and anticipatory service, blending classic sophistication with modern sensibility. The brand is especially noted for its signature Butler Service, providing guests with personalized and exceptional hospitality.
Located at 9703 Collins Ave, Bal Harbour, Florida, the St. Regis Bar offers guests an elegant and refined environment to enjoy premium food and beverage services. As a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, this role is essential in upholding the high standards of guest service and cleanliness expected at this luxury establishment. Employees have the opportunity to belong to a global team that values diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture.
This Food and Beverage Server role involves providing professional, courteous, and efficient service to all guests. Key responsibilities include setting and clearing tables, serving water, bread, and coffee, and greeting guests by name whenever possible to enhance the personalized dining experience. The role requires meticulous attention to cleanliness and setup, including stacking trays properly, maintaining work areas, and adhering to health and safety regulations throughout the service period.
Attention to detail is critical, requiring the inspection of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use to ensure immaculate presentation. Servers are also responsible for completing closing duties such as securely storing goods, cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, turning off lights, and locking doors while completing a daily cleaning checklist. The position demands adherence to strict company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality to protect guests' and the company’s proprietary information.
Physical stamina is necessary as the job requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and the ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Additionally, the server must maneuver safely over uneven surfaces, stairs, and service ramps and perform a variety of movements including bending, twisting, and stooping.
This role does not require previous related work experience or supervisory experience, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to begin their career in hospitality. A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred. Employees receive ongoing support and training to help them excel in their roles while contributing to the outstanding guest experiences that define the St. Regis brand.
At Marriott International and St. Regis, inclusivity and diversity are embraced through equal employment opportunities for all associates, regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protected statuses. Joining the St. Regis team means becoming part of a globally recognized brand where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing team, and become the best version of yourself.
