The restaurant at Solitude Mountain Resort provides guests with a high-quality dining experience accompanied by panoramic views of the mountain slopes. The role of Restaurant Server is vital to the guest dining experience at Solitude. This part-time, seasonal, and hourly position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and is ideal for individuals who possess excellent coordination, communication, and people skills. As a Restaurant Server, you will be responsible for effectively selling menu items, accurately placing orders with the kitchen, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages. Anticipating guest needs and providing friendly, prompt service is essential in maintaining the resort's reputation for outstanding hospitality.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant service preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required food service certifications such as Food Handler’s Certificate and Sips and Tips
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 30 lbs

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into the ordering system
  • Be knowledgeable about the menu and be able to make recommendations and answer guests’ questions
  • Set up the restaurant for food service, set tables with linens, silverware, and stemware
  • Answer incoming phone calls and schedule reservations for customers
  • Help the restaurant manager, kitchen staff, host, and other servers when needed and complete additional tasks as needed (i.e., shoveling patio)
  • Close and clean the restaurant and prepare for food service the next day
