Job Description
Verkada is a pioneering technology company that is revolutionizing the way organizations protect their people and assets through an integrated, AI-powered platform. Founded in 2016, Verkada has quickly established itself as a leader in cloud-based physical security solutions. The company provides a comprehensive software platform that combines video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management into one seamless system. This integrated approach offers organizations increased safety, enhanced efficiency, and scalable deployments. With over 30,000 organizations worldwide trusting Verkada's solutions, including more than 100 Fortune 500 companies, Verkada continues to expand its impact via 15 offices and more than 2,200 full-time employees.
The Tradeshow and Event Marketing Manager role at Verkada offers a strategic and hands-on opportunity to lead the management of a portfolio of important tradeshows and experiential marketing events. This role involves planning and executing a variety of high-impact third-party events ranging from large, major industry tradeshows to more localized regional conferences and sponsorship activations. The Tradeshow and Event Marketing Manager will ensure that Verkada’s brand presence at these events is consistently compelling, well-organized, and effectively drives measurable results such as brand elevation and pipeline generation. Reporting directly to the Director of Events, this individual contributor role will collaborate closely with multiple internal teams including field marketing, sales, product marketing, demand generation, and channel teams. The goal is to create integrated event experiences that align with proprietary go-to-market strategies and support Verkada’s broader marketing objectives.
The position is ideally based in Verkada's San Mateo, California headquarters but also allows flexibility for candidates based in several other U.S. office locations including Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Austin, New York, Tampa, or Philadelphia. With an annual pay range of $175,000 to $210,000 USD, this role offers competitive compensation alongside opportunities for sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity through restricted stock units, ensuring that high performers are rewarded for their contributions.
The Tradeshow and Event Marketing Manager will oversee all aspects of event strategy and execution. This includes managing the trade show portfolio to meet demand generation goals and regional priorities, recommending events based on rigorous ROI and audience relevance criteria, and partnering across teams to define clear event goals, messaging, and staffing needs. The manager is responsible for the end-to-end logistics of each trade show event, including booth design and production, vendor negotiations, shipping, show services, and on-site operations. Additionally, they will organize engaging on-site experiences such as customer meetings, executive engagements, and theater presentations, while managing staff briefing, training, and overall event operations to maintain excellence.
Beyond event logistics, the role encompasses partnership with the Demand Generation team to coordinate pre-event marketing efforts such as digital campaigns and registration strategies. During events, the Tradeshow and Event Marketing Manager will oversee lead capture, attendee flow, giveaway strategies, and overall booth activations to create a memorable brand presence. Importantly, post-event responsibilities include timely lead uploads, event reporting, performance analysis, and return-on-investment evaluation to continually refine event strategies.
The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of experience managing complex trade shows or large-scale B2B events, preferably within technology or SaaS industries. They should be adept at managing multiple concurrent events under tight deadlines and possess strong project management skills including budget ownership and cross-functional coordination. Experience negotiating with vendors, managing booth design and fabrication logistics, and leveraging event technology platforms for lead capture are essential. An analytical mindset with the ability to use data for event selection and performance forecasting is critical, along with the flexibility to travel up to 40%, sometimes including weekends or longer stays. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Verkada is deeply committed to the health and wellness of its employees and their families, offering comprehensive benefits such as fully covered employee healthcare premiums, nationwide medical, vision and dental coverage, health saving accounts with employer contributions, mental health support, paid parental leave, fertility benefits, paid time off including flexible PTO and personal sick days, professional development stipends, wellness perks, daily healthy lunches, and commuter benefits. The company fosters an inclusive and equal opportunity workplace attracting diverse talent. Candidates must have independent authorization to work in the U.S., as the company is currently unable to sponsor employment visas.
