Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Electronics Engineer to join their Avionics Integration Organization. This onsite leadership role is based in either Palmdale or Rancho Bernardo, California, requiring full-time attendance with no remote work options available. The position demands a self-starter with expertise in Integrated Product Team (IPT) environments and a strong technical foundation in avionics systems. The successful candidate will be involved extensively in advanced technical activities related to field support of ground segment systems and communication infrastructures, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, configuration management, and coordinating complex system changes. Responsibilities include driving issue resolution in complex data center and communication systems, overseeing root cause corrective actions, managing operational configuration control, and serving as a technical liaison between diverse stakeholders such as Field Response IPT leadership, enterprise engineers, and mission engineers. Additionally, the role includes leading cross-functional engineering efforts, managing modification implementations, and contributing to cyber patch delivery and maintenance review boards.

The position requires an active U.S. government Secret Clearance at minimum and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access clearance. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 14 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with 12 years of experience, or a PhD with 10 years of experience. The salary range for this role is $192,800 to $289,200 annually, which may include overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives depending on role and performance.
