Job Description

Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain best known for its square-shaped burgers and commitment to quality food and excellent customer service. Established over 50 years ago, Wendy's has grown into a beloved brand with over 7,000 restaurants worldwide. The company is devoted to fostering an inclusive, open, and flexible work culture that supports its employees' personal and professional growth. Wendy's aims to be the world's most thriving and beloved restaurant brand by continuously innovating and enhancing its operations and training programs.

The organization places high importance on investing in its workforce through structured training initiatives and leadership development. It supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package, competitive salaries, and opportunities for advancement within the company or franchise network. Employees in operational support roles benefit from access to resources including parental leave, employee assistance programs, and 401k matching, fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment.

The Senior Specialist Operations Training (SOT) role at Wendy's is a key position within the Restaurant Support Center, reporting directly to the Manager of Operations Training (MOT). This role is integral to maintaining consistent training standards across franchise and company markets and collaborates closely with Franchise Operations Managers and Directors of Area Operations to enhance restaurant and multi-unit management performance. The SOT is responsible for delivering training programs, overseeing restaurant certification, coaching managers, and implementing best practices that drive operational excellence.

This position is suited for professionals passionate about training and development who have extensive experience in operational roles, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality industries. The SOT is a pivotal bench role feeding into higher management positions such as Field Operations Manager or Manager of Operations Training. It requires a dynamic individual capable of leading instructional sessions, conducting on-site assessments, and developing tailored development plans that build capability across the system.

The role also involves supporting new product implementations, non-product initiatives, and special projects, contributing directly to the company's growth and innovation strategies. The SOT manages the restaurant certification process to ensure rigorous standards are upheld, resulting in elevated performance at both the restaurant and district levels. This person will also help drive local market initiatives such as GM rallies, divisional meetings, new restaurant openings, and franchisee onboarding, representing Wendy’s commitment to excellent operational support and market-based activities.

Wendy’s offers a competitive salary range for this position, with an annual base pay between USD 81,000 and USD 138,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition, the role offers a target annual bonus of 10% of the base salary, contingent upon company and individual performance. The SOT has the flexibility to work primarily at Wendy’s restaurant locations or other field sites designated by the company, with options for remote work subject to managerial approval and business needs.

Working as a Senior Specialist Operations Training at Wendy’s means being part of an iconic brand where quality and employee support are paramount. The position promises career growth opportunities, a robust benefits package, and the chance to make a tangible impact in one of the fastest-paced industries worldwide. It’s ideal for someone eager to develop training programs, mentor restaurant leaders, and contribute directly to operational excellence.
