Job Requirements

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience working in high volume foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
  • Ability to supervise and manage culinary teams effectively
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Some progressive culinary and kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience
  • Experience in high volume complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and Internet
  • ServSafe certified preferred
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates in culinary preparation and operations
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef to assist with ordering and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
