This position requires a candidate who is knowledgeable in legal aspects related to easements, rights of way, leases, licenses, permits, and real property interests. Expertise in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) pipeline guidelines is essential to ensure compliance and regulatory adherence. In this role, the candidate will interface with a range of stakeholders including corporate management, operations personnel, field engineering, legal departments, construction teams, and right-of-way service providers.

The position demands strong leadership skills and the ability to work well within teams, keeping all members informed through organized meetings and effective communication. Problem-solving abilities and the anticipation of potential project obstacles are crucial to drive progress and achieve resolution. The role requires negotiation skills to acquire, maintain, or dispose of company right-of-way interests and properties such as valve sites, compressor stations, and workspace permits.

Additionally, candidates will act as company liaisons in public hearings, trials, condemnation processes, and governmental agency interactions at federal, state, and local levels. Handling damage claims, managing public relations, and participating in acquisition due diligence projects are also fundamental duties. The role demands the ability to coordinate third-party service companies and manage technical right-of-way issues with professionalism and sensitivity.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with substantial work experience in related fields, while a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills, be empathetic, possess negotiation skills, and communicate effectively in both oral and written formats. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications such as SAP or CLSLiNK is expected. A valid driver's license and the flexibility to travel or work irregular hours when necessary are also requirements. Safety and compliance with federal regulations including DOT random drug testing and emergency response availability are integral components of this role.
