This particular role is designed for a subject matter expert who will provide high-level, in-depth training and regulatory support for both internal and external customers. The position involves overseeing the management and timely resolution of government notices, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations, and handling sensitive information and projects. Key responsibilities include performing complex regulatory functions such as processing government forms like CF28s and CF29s, managing liquidated damages, performing customs compliance documentation solicitation, and maintaining brokerage system updates. The role requires collaboration with various departments, including legal and executive management, to vet communications and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Training and mentorship of team members, analysis of regulatory trends, and creation of detailed reports and action plans based on system data are also central to this position.
This is a remote position with candidates required to reside within a 50-mile radius of select major US cities. It offers a competitive salary range from $4,964.26 to $9,419.27, depending on experience and qualifications. A Broker's License and QDM Apprentice certification are mandatory, alongside a thorough knowledge of customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedules, and federal agency laws governing the customs brokerage industry, particularly post-entry processes.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferably in business field
- Four years brokerage work experience required
- Regulatory experience preferred
- Broker's License required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide in-depth, high level training for internal and external customers as needed
- Oversee the handling of government notices by team members for timely and accurate handling
- Review, assist with or assign research projects completed by the department
- Create reports and action plans based on department trend analysis and system data
- Manage flex system creation, updates, reporting and analysis
- Handle liquidated damages on behalf of the company and customers as needed
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Act as subject matter expert to provide guidance, education and answer questions to internal and external customers
- Solicit and maintain all customs compliance documentation with customers
- Handle confidential or sensitive information and projects
- Collaborate with internal staff, departments, executive level management, customers and government agencies to deliver high level of service
- Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed
- Participate in customer, departmental and company meetings
- Train team members as needed
- Confirm receipt of government inquiries and ensure timely resolution
- Perform miscellaneous clerical functions for Regulatory department
- Handle complex regulatory functions including CF28s, CF29s, seizure notices, redelivery notices, FDA registrations
- Review quality referral disputes as an impartial mediator
- Monitor and update miscellaneous regulatory owned reporting
- Maintain brokerage system resulting from government updates
- Review company procedures for accuracy and compliance
- Create company notices for internal and external customers
- Research discrepancies related to regulatory matters
- Analyze trends and suggest internal training needs
- Conduct reviews of customs documents
- Vet research findings and format communications and training materials
- Collaborate with Legal department for approval of internal publications
- Support management and operations during CBP/PGA compliance reviews
- Research and collaborate on drafting company RIGHT documents
- Perform other duties as assigned
