The role offered is that of a Hardware and Firmware Test Engineer focusing on enterprise server components and architecture. This position is essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex server systems by executing comprehensive test plans across hardware, firmware, and software layers. The engineer will be responsible for testing industry-standard server components such as DIMMs, SSDs, and HDDs, with a strong emphasis on enterprise server architectures. The role demands proficiency with various testing methodologies as well as experience in analyzing failures and debugging at multiple levels. Candidates must exhibit expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems, with skills in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell to execute automated tests and analyze automation failures.
Additionally, the engineer will utilize test tools including performance benchmarks, I/O stress, and memory stress tools, alongside bug management platforms to identify and track issues through resolution. This involves close collaboration with both onsite and offshore teams to ensure seamless handoff and day-to-day activity coordination. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience testing enterprise servers and server components
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as DDR4 DDR5 NVMe PCIe SATA
- Proficient in windows and Linux server operating systems
- Experience in scripting with Python and PowerShell
- Ability to debug complex hardware firmware and software issues
- Familiarity with test tools and automation frameworks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with onsite and offshore teams
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot test failures

- Good understanding of enterprise server architecture
- Experience on different testing methodologies and standards

- Experience in executing the scripts and analyzing the automation failures in Python and PowerShell
- Expertise with Test tools such as performance benchmarks IO stress tools memory stress tools Bug management and Test execution tools
- Execute the test cases Manual automation on different hardware configurations as per test plan provided
- Analyze and debug the failures raise bugs in the bug tracking tools and track them to closure
- Work closely with the Onsite and Offshore counter parts for the day to day activities Provide proper handoff
