Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a leading cloud computing platform that empowers businesses worldwide with robust, scalable, and innovative technology solutions. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon, one of the most influential technology companies globally, renowned for its customer-centric approach and continuous innovation. AWS maintains a broad portfolio of marketing partnerships that amplify its brand reach through unique and high-profile events. Among these partnerships, AWS collaborates with prestigious sports organizations such as the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour to deliver exclusive hospitality experiences. These offerings are designed to support AWS's strategic objective of facilitating executive-level engagements between CxO customers and senior AWS leaders. Such engagement events not only cultivate deep relationships but also accelerate strategic pipeline opportunities, fostering business growth and partnership expansion.

The Senior Program Manager role within AWS focuses on leading the Global Golf hospitality programs managed alongside the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour. This is a dynamic and critical role that demands a blend of strategic vision and operational excellence. The program manager is entrusted with the end-to-end responsibility of strategizing, planning, executing, and optimizing premium customer hospitality events focused on golf tournaments and related experiences. Through these events, AWS showcases how its partners innovate and transform their businesses by leveraging AWS's cloud services. The role challenges the manager to craft unique experiences spanning 1-day, 2-day, and 4-day formats that encourage relationship-building, peer networking, and thematic learning aligned with AWS’s technological capabilities.

This position requires managing complex and simultaneous events with competing priorities around timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. The Senior Program Manager works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership teams to ensure each event aligns with account-level priorities. The role also involves direct hosting and engagement with C-suite customers and AWS senior leaders on-site during these marquee events predominantly held across North America. In addition to tactical execution, the manager is responsible for establishing and tracking key program metrics, utilizing data to drive continuous improvement in event outcomes. Program budget management, vendor relationship oversight, and efficient use of enterprise marketing tools are also critical elements of this role.

The position offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary range typically between $118,200 and $185,000 annually, depending on location and experience, along with sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units. AWS also provides a comprehensive benefits package highlighting health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription), life insurance options, Employee Assistance Programs, mental health support, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. AWS fosters an inclusive and accommodating workplace environment and encourages applicants who require workplace accommodations to apply.

The Global Executive Marketing (GEM) Hospitality team, under which this role operates, drives the marketing partnership portfolio focusing on hospitality through leading sports and entertainment brands. The team's mission centers on demonstrating the transformative power of technology and creating approachable use cases that revolutionize how fans engage with sports and entertainment experiences. The program manager's work is crucial in bringing these missions to life through world-class event execution that reflects AWS's innovative spirit and commitment to excellence.
