Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a globally renowned leader in cloud computing, providing a broad and deep set of services that help businesses innovate and scale efficiently. As a subsidiary of Amazon, AWS has revolutionized the technology landscape by enabling organizations of all sizes to leverage powerful cloud infrastructure. AWS's commitment to innovation and customer obsession has established it as a pivotal player across diverse industries worldwide. The company fosters an inclusive working environment that embraces diversity and equity and continuously invests in employee growth and development.
AWS's Global Executive Marketing (GEM) Hospitality team manages a diverse portfolio of premium marketing partnerships with high-profile sports and entertainment brands. They specialize in delivering elite hospitality benefits designed to build strategic relationships and amplify business opportunities. This team’s mission is to showcase the transformative power of technology by creating engaging and innovative experiences that resonate within the sports and entertainment sectors.
The Senior Program Manager role focuses on leading AWS's Global Golf hospitality programs in collaboration with the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour. This unique position involves orchestrating premium hospitality experiences aimed at executive-level customers and AWS's senior leadership. The role combines strategic development with operational execution to create memorable events that deepen customer relationships, encourage peer networking, and demonstrate how AWS’s technology partners innovate and transform their industries using AWS services.
Specifically, the role demands ownership over the entire lifecycle of hospitality events — from strategy formulation and meticulous planning to flawless execution and ongoing optimization. This includes designing 1-, 2-, and 4-day immersive experiences that offer exclusive access, curated delight moments, and seamless logistics management such as accommodations, transportation, and gifting. The Senior Program Manager must adeptly balance multiple events with competing priorities while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and senior executives to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
In addition to event management, this position requires hosting and engaging C-suite customers and senior AWS leaders on-site across North America. The successful candidate will be data-driven, using metrics to measure event success and refine approaches continuously. Budget management, vendor negotiations, and the oversight of digital asset production also fall under the responsibilities of this role, leveraging enterprise marketing tools to maximize program impact.
This hands-on role suits a results-driven individual with a blend of strategic vision and tactical execution skills who thrives in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in marketing program management, a deep understanding of hospitality and sporting event landscapes, and the ability to communicate program results effectively to senior leadership. The salary for this role ranges from $118,200 to $185,000 annually, depending on location and experience, and includes sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs). AWS also offers a comprehensive benefits package, further underscoring its commitment to employee well-being and career success.
