Established as a pioneer in the technology sector, Northrop Grumman has played a crucial role in many historical technological advances such as the first transatlantic flight, the development of stealth bombers, and the Apollo moon landing. The company thrives on fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, diversity, and collaborative innovation, enabling employees to work on cutting-edge systems that impact people’s lives worldwide. Northrop Grumman’s focus on pioneering solutions spans across various domains, including aerospace systems, defense technology, cybersecurity, and space systems, making it a prime destination for professionals eager to be at the forefront of technological advancements.

The company is currently seeking a Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst (Senior Linux Server Administrator) to join its Classified Solutions Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) team, based in Boulder, Colorado. This full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to classified government contracts that demand high levels of security clearance and technical expertise. The candidate will be part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems CIDO support team, working on mission-critical projects involving multi-user computer systems and networks. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing, designing, and implementing Linux server environments, ensuring system integrity and compliance with strict Information Systems security protocols such as RMF, STIG, and related standards.

The Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst will act as a key technical advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic input on enterprise-wide systems that support the company’s defense and space missions. The role includes responsibility for overseeing operations, driving system enhancements, managing backups and disaster recovery solutions, and ensuring system security through effective account and file permission management. Communication skills are essential as the role demands extensive interaction with stakeholders at multiple levels, vendors, and internal teams. Moreover, the position requires mentoring less experienced team members and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.

Candidates must hold a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance or higher and meet the standards of the 8140 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+. Preferred candidates will have experience with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX variants, and be familiar with networking fundamentals. This role offers a salary range of $129,300 to $193,900 along with a comprehensive benefits package. Northrop Grumman emphasizes the importance of onsite work due to the classified nature of the projects and provides no relocation assistance. The company also supports flexible work arrangements, learning opportunities, a 9/80 work schedule, generous health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Joining Northrop Grumman means becoming part of a respected institution with a rich legacy and a commitment to innovation and mission success.
