Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is currently hiring for a Sr Principal Electronics Engineer based in Rancho Bernardo, California. This full-time, on-site role requires the candidate to take a leadership position coordinating engineering activities related to mission management, data recording, and data center system capabilities. The engineer will have a key role in program planning, mission management requirements, systems verification, and supporting program milestone planning, reviews, and execution. This position involves working closely with the system test team, managing verification materials, software implementations, and updating interface control documents (ICDs) and specifications.

The candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience in the concepts and implementation of Mission Management and Data Recording Systems along with expertise in storage servers. The position comes with a significant security clearance requirement, including an active US Government Top Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last six years or continuous evaluation enrollment. The candidate must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time frame. Travel up to 25 percent may be required, supporting varied work schedules and possibly requiring rapid response to pressing needs.

The salary for this position ranges from $142,200 to $213,400 annually, dependent on experience, skills, education, and current market conditions. Employees may qualify for bonuses, overtime, and long-term incentives depending on their roles.
