Job Description

Northrop Grumman is a leading global aerospace and defense technology company committed to innovation and excellence in delivering advanced systems that impact people worldwide. With a rich history of pioneering achievements, including contributions to the first transatlantic flight, stealth bomber technology, and lunar landings, Northrop Grumman continues to push the boundaries of technology and defense capabilities. Employees of Northrop Grumman enjoy a culture that fosters intellectual curiosity, diversity of thought, and encourages bringing your whole self to work. The company values bold ideas, courage, and a pioneering spirit, aiming to create revolutionary systems that will shape the future.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer - Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join their team at locations in Palmdale, CA; El Segundo, CA; or Rancho Bernardo, CA. This full-time, on-site position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of engineering projects related to Communications and Payloads Subsystems throughout their lifecycles. The role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working within an Integrated Product Team structure and managing projects from inception to completion across disciplines and geographic locations.

The successful candidate will leverage broad experience across multiple Communications and Payload Subsystems rather than deep expertise in any single system. This role demands strong project planning skills, including experience using Microsoft Project, and an understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or Cost Account Management (CAM).

Candidates must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with a recent background investigation or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation and the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program clearance. Relocation assistance may be available, and occasional travel of up to 10% is expected. The salary range for this position is $142,200 to $213,400 annually, reflecting factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, and potential long-term incentives for senior positions. Northrop Grumman is dedicated to providing comprehensive benefits including health insurance, life and disability coverage, savings plans, paid holidays, and paid time off.
