The company is committed to continuous innovation and setting the highest industry standards in aviation culinary, airline services, last-mile logistics, and retail commerce. Its comprehensive operational network ensures quality, reliability, and service excellence from the kitchen right up to the airplane runway. The Sr. PM Operations Manager role based in Seattle, USA, is an exciting leadership opportunity within LSG Sky Chefs. This on-site position offers a salary range from $113,454.17 to $142,000.00 and involves overseeing the day-to-day operational departments which include Transportation, Assembly, Kitchen, and Warehouse. The prime responsibility of the manager is to ensure production and productivity targets are consistently met while maintaining optimal staffing levels. This role requires methodical oversight of shift activities to guarantee efficiency and smooth operation during peak hours, starting from 5:00 PM. The role further demands strategic planning and management of department hours, schedules, productivity metrics, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key accountabilities for the role include budget management with respect to manpower planning and overtime use, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, food safety regulations including FDA and HACCP standards, and prompt and accurate production and catering services. Emphasis is placed on optimal human, technical, and material resource deployment and continuous process optimizations.
The leadership component of this position entails organizing and directing the area of responsibility with a focus on employee motivation, development, and adherence to human resources policies. The manager will also participate in coaching efforts such as the Global Performance System (GPS) to enhance team effectiveness and career growth. Upholding the company's values and management principles within the department is essential, including planning and controlling the cost budget and supporting company initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
Candidates should possess at least a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent professional background, with three to five years of management experience preferably in related operations. Experience in managing variable production systems and schedules is crucial, along with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. A history of successfully improving work processes and leading change in complex environments will be highly valued. Additionally, the role demands excellent analytical and conceptual skills, a deep understanding of customer needs, product and labor cost variances, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications. The candidate must be willing to work on weekends and holidays as operations require.
