Job Description
LA28 is the independent, non-profit, and privately funded organizing committee responsible for overseeing the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a dynamic and visionary organization, LA28 is dedicated to delivering an exceptional Olympic and Paralympic experience that celebrates the unique culture, diversity, and spirit of the city of Los Angeles and the surrounding communities. The Games represent a historic milestone, marking the return of the Summer Olympics to the United States after 32 years and Los Angeles hosting the Games for the third time—with the added distinction of welcoming the Paralympic Games for the first time. This unique opportunity stands to not only honor the city’s enduring legacy in the Olympic Movement but also to push the boundaries of how the Games can be delivered, incorporating innovation, sustainability, and inclusion at every turn.
The Sr. Manager, Venue Infrastructure Delivery, holds a vital leadership role within LA28's Sport & Games Delivery group, primarily focusing on the delivery of key venues for the Games. This role is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of venue infrastructure—from the initial design phases through to construction and final delivery. The Sr. Manager leads a dedicated team of 3 to 4 staff members, coordinating closely with a broad array of external partners, contractors, and consultants to ensure the venues meet the highest standards for functionality, accessibility, and sustainability. This position demands a strategic thinker and an effective leader who excels at fostering collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders, including architecture and engineering disciplines, as well as key functional areas such as Event Management, Hospitality, and Games Operations.
Further responsibilities include developing and adhering to departmental budgets, facilitating an approval process for venue designs, and utilizing a data-driven approach to ensure fit-for-purpose and cost-effective infrastructure solutions. The position also requires working with international bodies like the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC) to meet stringent technical requirements and gain necessary strategic buy-ins. The ideal candidate for this role will possess extensive experience—minimum 7 years—in event overlay design and temporary infrastructure delivery, ideally coupled with knowledge of California Building Codes. Leadership acumen is paramount, as the candidate will be expected to develop and motivate their team, ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration, and successfully navigate the complexities of a large-scale, high-profile global event. LA28 offers an inclusive work environment where optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation, and boldness are the core values guiding all activities.
This position is based in Los Angeles and requires onsite presence with the flexibility to work during critical build milestones and Games-time operations. The salary range for the Sr. Manager, Venue Infrastructure Delivery role is from $105,000 to $140,000 annually. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance but offers a culture committed to equal opportunity employment and diversity. Join LA28 and contribute to creating a new chapter of history where the Olympic and Paralympic Games become a transformative platform for sport and community.
