The role involves leading and overseeing Transmission Project Management efforts, directing an extensive portfolio of 1000 to 2000 capital projects. Candidates will manage these projects with a strong focus on scope, schedule, and budget control, coordinating with internal departments such as Construction, Test, SCADA, Automation, and Protection.\n\nThe successful incumbent will work closely with various internal and external partners to foster collaboration and ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory safety practices. PG&E emphasizes safety and compliance, and this leadership role requires ensuring that all team members follow rigorous safety policies and regulatory requirements. The role includes strategic resource planning to balance workload and staffing needs effectively, recommending contracting and staffing decisions when necessary to optimize project execution.\n\nProcess improvement is a critical part of this role, as the leader will identify gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency and quality of Transmission Engineering work. This includes reviewing and adjusting budgets regularly, managing spending against the capital budget, and holding meetings to monitor actuals versus targets. The salary range for the Bay Area starts at $163,000, mid-range at $220,000, and a maximum of $277,000. For other parts of California, the salary range is from $155,000 to $263,000 annually. Salaries will be based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
