Job Description
Tinder, launched in 2012, has transformed the way people meet and connect, making it one of the world's leading social and dating platforms. Since its inception, Tinder has created over 97 billion matches and serves approximately 50 million users every month across 190 countries and in more than 45 languages. The app's unprecedented growth and global reach highlight its ability to fulfill a fundamental human need: genuine connection. Tinder's influence extends beyond digital platforms, establishing itself as a cultural phenomenon recognized with accolades such as four Effie Awards in 2024 for its global brand campaign "It Starts with a Swipe."
The company is committed to core values that shape its culture and operations, including leadership, urgency, collaboration, honesty, safety, and fun. Tinder fosters a working environment where team members take initiative, communicate directly and kindly, operate with integrity, and innovate through enjoyment and teamwork. These principles guide both user interactions and internal team dynamics, ensuring a positive, productive workplace.
Within this thriving and innovative company, the Senior Manager of Partnerships & Operations role is a pivotal position in Tinder's efforts to deepen human connections beyond the digital screen through the Tinder Events initiative. This initiative is designed to create in-person experiences that give Tinder users and communities new, meaningful opportunities for social connection.
The Senior Manager will lead the local partnerships function within the Events team, tasked with sourcing and securing collaborations with local venues, event creators, and third-party event platforms. The role demands a strategic and operational leader who can build processes, workflows, and cross-functional coordination mechanisms tailored to the unique demands of event production and scaling. From a single-city pilot, this initiative aims for a global footprint, and the Senior Manager will play an essential role in shaping how the team grows and how the program evolves.
This is a builder position requiring an entrepreneurial spirit and operational expertise. It involves defining how a new function operates, setting strategic direction, and supporting senior leadership in business development efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing, legal, product, engineering, and design teams to ensure seamless program execution and scalability.
Based in Los Angeles, CA, this hybrid role requires in-office collaboration three days a week and about 25% travel to support new market launches, partner meetings, and on-the-ground event execution. The salary range is $165,000 to $180,000 annually, reflecting the high-level responsibilities and the strategic importance of the position within Tinder's broader mission.
