The Sr. Manager, Marketplace Program Management at Patagonia is a key leadership role responsible for directing the Marketplace Program Management practice within the Global Program Management team. This position involves leading a skilled team of project managers to effectively plan, coordinate, and deliver integrated marketing programs focused on Marketplace priorities. Located in Ventura, CA with a hybrid schedule, this role offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $159,000 USD annually, with the potential for a broader placement within the full salary range based on experience and skills.

In this role, the Sr. Manager will oversee the development and maintenance of an integrated Marketplace roadmap that aligns business priorities, cross-functional initiatives, and resource allocation. They will translate strategic insights and roadmaps into seasonal operational plans that ensure smooth workflows, clear ownership, and effective coordination across all Marketplace channels. The role demands advanced expertise in print production and fabrication, including color management, press-ready file preparation, proofing standards, and vendor coordination to guarantee consistency and brand integrity across printed assets.

This position requires close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Creative, and Program Leads to balance work sequencing, team capacity, and evolving priorities. The Sr. Manager drives transparency and clarity for cross-functional teams, supporting high-quality marketing outcomes and enhanced in-store customer experiences. From early strategic planning and seasonal marketing to delivery across Retail, Wholesale, Tradeshows, and Showrooms, this leader ensures cohesive storytelling, brand alignment, and accountability throughout Marketplace programs.

The Sr. Manager will champion innovation, quality, and impact by leveraging deep technical knowledge and industry expertise while proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks. The role further includes standardizing reporting dashboards to measure effectiveness, providing regular communication and forecasting, and promoting continuous improvement of work management tools and processes. A critical component of the role is managing and developing team members through coaching, fostering an accountable and inclusive culture, and acting as the primary contact for Marketplace initiatives across North America and global regions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in program or project management
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience
  • Advanced expertise in print production and fabrication
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with integrated roadmap development and resource planning
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
  • Proficiency with project management tools like ClickUp
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and SketchUp
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Ventura, CA

Job Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in program or project management within complex, cross-functional environments
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including managing and developing experienced project or program managers
  • Advanced print production/fabrication expertise with a proven track record delivering high quality, complex color correction
  • Demonstrated experience owning and maintaining integrated roadmaps, aligning business priorities, cross-functional initiatives, and available resources
  • Proven ability to forecast effort, plan capacity, and balance demand across teams as priorities and constraints evolve
  • Experience partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Creative, and Program Leads to sequence work and make informed tradeoffs
  • Track record of translating strategy into actionable plans and seasonal execution across digital channels
  • Experience providing visibility into work through forecasting, reporting, and delivery insights that support decision making and accountability

Job Duties

  • Lead the Marketplace Program Management practice, establishing the planning, coordination, and delivery model that enables teams to deliver quality work on time
  • Develop and maintain an integrated Marketplace roadmap that aligns business priorities, cross-functional initiatives, and available resources
  • Translate strategic roadmaps into actionable seasonal plans across all Marketplace channels, ensuring clear workflows, ownership, and handoffs
  • Apply advanced print production/fabrication expertise, including color management, press-ready file preparation, proofing standards, material specifications, and vendor coordination
  • Partner with managers across Product, Marketing, Creative, and Program Leads to sequence work across teams, balance demand, and adapt plans as priorities evolve
  • Empower cross-functional teams by providing clarity and transparency that support strong marketing and in-store customer experience outcomes
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team by coaching individual skill sets, supporting growth paths, and fostering a collaborative, accountable culture
