This dedication ensures a dynamic, supportive work environment where both lawyers and staff can thrive while delivering exceptional service to clients. McGuireWoods is recognized for its collaborative culture and innovative approach to solving complex legal challenges, making it a top choice for legal talent across its key offices in Richmond, Charlotte, Washington DC, and Chicago.
The Senior Manager of Events role at McGuireWoods presents a unique opportunity to join the firm’s collaborative marketing team as a leader in orchestrating firm-wide event planning, execution, and strategic initiatives. This impactful position involves full ownership of internal and external event management from inception to completion. The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing budgets, negotiating contracts, managing vendors, and coordinating logistics to ensure flawless event delivery. Additionally, this role entails producing event collateral that aligns with the firm’s branding, maintaining accurate event calendars and systems, tracking attendee data, and generating insightful post-event reports.
Beyond operational duties, the Senior Manager of Events plays a critical leadership role by supervising a small, dynamic team. This includes mentoring team members, managing workloads, and fostering professional development to enhance the overall efficiency and success of the events function. Continuous refinement and enforcement of standardized event processes and best practices will be essential to maintain consistency and quality across all initiatives.
A key strategic responsibility of this position is to align event planning efforts with McGuireWoods’ broader business development goals, leveraging events as opportunities to strengthen client relationships and advance the firm’s market presence. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills to serve as an effective liaison between internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients, ensuring seamless experiences and superior service delivery.
This position is available with hybrid remote work options in McGuireWoods’ Richmond, Charlotte, DC, and Chicago offices, offering flexibility to promote work-life balance.
