Job Description
NOVONIX is a pioneering battery technology company at the forefront of revolutionizing the global lithium-ion battery industry. Known for its innovative and sustainable technologies, NOVONIX focuses on high-performance materials and more efficient production methods that contribute significantly to a cleaner energy future. The company manufactures industry-leading battery cell testing equipment, grows its synthetic graphite anode material manufacturing operations, and has developed an all-dry, zero-waste cathode synthesis process. Through its advanced research and development capabilities, proprietary technologies, and strategic partnerships, NOVONIX has established itself as a prominent player in the electric vehicle and energy storage system markets. Its mission is to power a cleaner, more sustainable future by advancing battery technologies and supply chains that support electric vehicles and energy transition sectors.
This particular role is for the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at NOVONIX, located onsite at the Riverside location in downtown Chattanooga, TN. While remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates, the position primarily requires presence at the facility to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and leadership. The role reports directly to the Director of Strategic Execution and is a critical leadership position responsible for developing and executing the company’s corporate communications, media engagement, and marketing strategy. The Senior Manager will lead integrated communications across public and internal channels, ensuring that the company’s messaging consistently reflects its mission, strategic priorities, and business goals.
The role involves crafting corporate communications strategies that elevate NOVONIX’s brand and ensure strong engagement internally among employees as well as externally with key stakeholders, including media, investors, and industry partners. The candidate will create communication plans that highlight the company’s position within the battery, critical minerals, and energy transition sectors. They will be instrumental in shaping the public narrative around NOVONIX’s contributions to domestic supply chains, energy security, and industrial policy.
In addition to corporate communications, the Senior Manager will lead marketing and content development strategies encompassing digital, print, video, and social media platforms. They will manage relationships with third-party agencies and ensure all messaging is on-brand, measurable, and aligned with the company’s overarching marketing goals. Furthermore, this position oversees event strategies for tradeshows, media events, investor conferences, and analyst days, coordinating with internal teams to maximize corporate visibility.
This leadership role demands an individual with proven expertise in multi-channel communication strategies, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced content creation capabilities, and an ability to develop and maintain productive relationships across departments such as Finance, HR, Operations, and Business Development. The role requires a highly organized and deadline-driven professional capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while supporting budget and performance monitoring of communications initiatives.
NOVONIX embraces diversity and inclusivity, fostering a welcoming environment that values different backgrounds and perspectives. The company encourages applicants who may not meet every qualification but who can demonstrate potential and enthusiasm for the role to apply. Working at NOVONIX means joining a smart, collaborative team dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint through cutting-edge battery technology and supporting a sustainable energy future. Competitive salary, benefits, and paid time off are among the attractive offerings provided to employees, alongside opportunities for career growth in an innovative and fast-evolving industry.
