The role offered is that of a Category Manager responsible for leading a category team and managing one or more product categories to drive increases in sales and gross profit. This position demands the development and ownership of an annual category plan along with a three-year strategic vision, which must be communicated effectively to senior leadership through budget presentations. The incumbent regularly reviews monthly and annual financial performance data including profit and loss to ensure category goals are met. This role leads category review planning and works closely with the team and support functions to optimize outcomes. The Category Manager will engage directly with stores, customers, and team members to gather directional feedback on products and promotions. Vendor management responsibilities include evaluating new products, business planning, negotiating costs, handling requests for proposals, and managing supply chains. Inventory control remains a core aspect of the job. This leadership position also entails supervising, coaching, training, and developing direct reports, fostering a culture aligned with the company's mission to support guests and team members. The Category Manager collaborates extensively with culinary, innovation, brand, operations, and marketing teams to ensure the successful execution of annual profit plans and promotional strategies, including product assortment, pricing, limited-time offers, and promotional calendars. Cross-functional ownership is expected, particularly across food and beverage category teams. This role requires a dynamic individual who can adapt quickly to a fast-paced business, demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking, and possess strong communication and presentation skills. Travel is required but limited to less than 25 percent, with some overnight stays possible. The working environment typically involves general office tasks with extended periods of sitting or standing. Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is mandatory.
