Sr Infrastructure Engineer - Cribl

We are currently seeking an experienced Cribl Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position based out of Richardson, TX, or Chicago, IL, offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $84,400 to $152,300 per year. As a Cribl Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines specifically for observability and security platforms. This role includes managing and maintaining Cribl Stream and Edge deployments, focusing on enabling efficient log routing, transformation, and cost optimization across various security and monitoring systems.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in log management, data pipelines, and observability tools and will have a deep working knowledge of Cribl Lake, Elastic, Dynatrace, or cloud-native logging solutions. Responsibilities involve ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficiency of data ingestion processes, troubleshooting complex issues in live environments, and spearheading initiatives for pipeline improvements that enhance quality and reduce costs. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, meticulous attention to documentation, and proactive problem-solving abilities.

In addition to technical duties, the Cribl Engineer will actively contribute to a collaborative, DevOps, and Agile workplace culture, supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility to adapt to the fast-evolving technological landscape and changing business priorities while handling multiple tasks effectively. Furthermore, this role offers 24x7 operational support for Cribl Stream infrastructure, which includes participating in an on-call rotation every sixth week, emphasizing the role's critical importance in maintaining enterprise-wide observability and security.
