Job Description
Ecolab is a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions and services, committed to helping customers achieve superior cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiencies. With a strong presence in various industries, including healthcare, foodservice, hospitality, and manufacturing, Ecolab leverages cutting-edge technology and deep industry expertise to provide comprehensive solutions that protect people and vital resources. Renowned for its innovation and customer-centric approach, Ecolab maintains a commitment to sustainability and regulatory compliance, ensuring that clients meet safety standards while optimizing their operations.
The Senior Global Technical Consultant (GTC) role at Ecolab is a crucial position designed to work directly with customers at their facilities across North America. The consultant acts as a technical expert and trusted advisor, identifying potential improvements to ensure regulatory compliance while enhancing safety and operational efficiency. This role is essential in differentiating Ecolab's services from competitors by delivering high-value technical support and customized solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
This position primarily focuses on supporting technical inquiries, assisting customers in disinfectant efficacy validation including advising on methodologies, organisms and surfaces to be tested, and experimental design of studies. The role also involves supporting the implementation and proper use of Ecolab's bio-decontamination products and services. The Senior GTC is responsible for initiating and steering analytical support projects wherever there are gaps in existing data, conducting technical visits and site surveys that evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of current cleaning, disinfection, and bio-decontamination protocols at customer sites.
Beyond customer interactions, the consultant provides guidance to internal departments, enhancing the synergy between sales, technical teams, and customers to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet exacting standards. This consultant leads unique customer projects that require advanced technical knowledge beyond the scope of account managers or regional managers, ensuring that all efforts align with Ecolab's brand standards and quality benchmarks.
Located ideally near major US airports, especially in North Carolina or the northeastern United States, this role requires significant travel—approximately 50% or more—throughout North America with occasional global travel. The position offers an annual compensation range of $128,600 to $193,000, inclusive of base pay and performance incentives.
Overall, the Senior Global Technical Consultant role is a dynamic opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about microbiology, quality assurance, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. It offers a platform to make a tangible impact on customer operations by blending scientific expertise with practical implementation and strategic consulting, all within a supportive and innovative global company.
