Job Description

Canyon Ranch has been a pioneering leader in the wellness lifestyle industry since its establishment in 1979. The company has built a renowned legacy centered around inspiring personal transformation and promoting integrative wellness. Canyon Ranch operates luxury wellness destination resorts in Tucson, Arizona, and Lenox, Massachusetts, with a highly anticipated new resort opening in Austin scheduled for fall 2026. These immersive resorts provide guests with holistic wellness experiences designed to empower them to live healthier, longer, and more fulfilling lives. The brand also manages North America's largest day spa located at The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, recognized repeatedly for its outstanding quality and service. Over the years, Canyon Ranch has earned significant accolades including 13-time Travel + Leisure’s Best Spa Award and 11-time Condé Nast Traveler Best Destination Spa Award, solidifying its position as a leader in wellness hospitality. Both resorts have been included in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Hotels rankings, affirming the company's commitment to excellence in guest experience and innovation in the wellness industry.

The Sr. Events Manager role at Canyon Ranch is a pivotal position responsible for orchestrating group events that align with the brand's high standards of service and wellness excellence. This role demands a detail-oriented and dynamic professional who will manage group events from the initial stages before arrival to the seamless execution on-site. The Sr. Events Manager acts as the primary liaison onsite, facilitating constant communication between clients and internal teams such as sales, programming, and operations to ensure that every event surpasses guest expectations. Key responsibilities include coordinating complex logistics such as audiovisual requirements, food and beverage services, wellness programming, and vendor management. Additionally, the manager creates and handles Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes, conducts weekly operational meetings, and fosters strong client relationships to encourage repeat business. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and oversees a team comprising the Conference Services Manager and Conference Services Technicians, thus requiring strong leadership and coordination skills.

Ideal candidates must have experience with industry-standard tools including Delphi, Salesforce, and BEO creation processes. Prior hospitality experience is strongly preferred to successfully navigate the dynamic resort environment. The position demands flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the nature of resort events and guest needs. Canyon Ranch offers a competitive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, 25 paid days off annually, complimentary health club membership with access to 60 fitness classes, a variety of educational lectures and workshops, and a 60 percent discount on services. The role provides an excellent opportunity for seasoned events professionals who are passionate about wellness and aspire to contribute to a transformative guest experience at an industry-leading destination resort.
