Job Description

Amazon is a global leader in e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence, renowned for its commitment to innovation, customer obsession, and operational excellence. The company boasts a dynamic and inclusive culture that empowers its employees—known as Amazonians—to deliver exceptional results and drive continuous improvement across all its business units. Amazon’s Events, Sports, and Sponsorship (ESS) organization plays a crucial role in enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement through a vast portfolio of events worldwide.

The role of the ESS Enablement Lead is a newly established, centralized position within the AWS ESS organization. This strategic role is pivotal in owning and managing all pre- and post-event enablement activities across the entire ESS portfolio, which includes more than 170 events ranging from Summits, re:Invent, Executive Summit/Forum, Partner Summit, Cohorts, to a vast spectrum of third-party events. As the marketing integrator, the ESS Enablement Lead will act as the key liaison between multiple stakeholders, including ESS, Sales Operations, Marketing API (Geo Leaders), and Lead Management Programs (LMP). The role is responsible for developing and operationalizing a unified global operating model that streamlines the event lifecycle and delivers scalable enablement motions designed to support a large base of 30,000 to 40,000 customer-facing roles worldwide without dedicated marketing support.

This position demands a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator who can simplify and standardize enablement processes across diverse teams and geographic regions. The ESS Enablement Lead’s responsibilities extend beyond typical marketing functions to include managing pre-event enablement plans, socializing consolidated event calendars, forecasting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL), coordinating Sales Champion engagement, and defining and tracking key pre-event health metrics such as seller outreach percentages and registration rates.

Post-event, the Enablement Lead coordinates with Sales Ops and the Lead Management Program to ensure seamless event follow-ups, manages communication cadences, and oversees attendance and reporting metrics via the BOMI platform. The role also involves curating and deploying scalable enablement tools, such as Highspot Events Hub, Amie Slack bot, and Field Advisor/AWSentral integrations, facilitating sellers’ self-serve access to event assets and natural language queries.

In addition to owning the toolkit and reporting governance, the ESS Enablement Lead is responsible for managing an effective partnership with the Lead Management Program, overseeing interlocked calendars, enforcing MQL follow-up service level agreements, and continuously assessing partnership priorities. This requires a strong operational focus to ensure that the event enablement motions drive accelerated pipeline opportunities and align tightly with sales and marketing goals.

The role offers a base salary range from $118,200 to $160,000 annually depending on location and experience, with an attractive package that includes restricted stock units (RSUs), sign-on bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. Amazon is an equal opportunity employer that supports workplace accommodations and fosters an inclusive culture for all employees. This position is ideal for a seasoned marketing professional with a deep understanding of acquisition marketing, channel programs, and cross-functional campaign execution, seeking to make a significant impact within a high-growth, multinational technology leader.
