Job Description
Subway Headquarters is the central hub supporting one of the world’s most iconic global brands. Known for its fresh, customizable sandwiches and commitment to quality, Subway operates thousands of franchise locations globally. At the heart of this franchise network is a dedicated team of professionals who provide operational, marketing, technical, and strategic support to ensure franchisee success and brand consistency. This corporate environment thrives on innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to growth. Subway’s mission extends beyond serving food; it aims to build long-term value, enhance franchisee profitability, and strengthen its global brand presence.
The role of the Sr. Director, Product - Menu at Subway Headquarters is a strategic leadership position pivotal to shaping the future of Subway’s menu management system. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of product management, engineering, marketing, and operations, offering substantial impact across global franchise channels. Menu management at Subway is far more complex than a standard product listing—it's a dynamic and multidimensional product that requires real-time interaction with thousands of franchise operators, multiple markets, pricing strategies, limited-time offers, digital sales platforms, and third-party delivery services. The Sr. Director will own end-to-end product strategy and execution for Menu Management, overseeing core areas such as Menu Data Services, AI-driven automation tools, and pricing and promotional toolsets utilized by franchisees worldwide.
The successful candidate will lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for menu product management initiatives that enable each restaurant to operate as an individual entity while maintaining global scale efficiencies. This includes managing offer creation workflows, internal pipelines, and contractor teams responsible for day-to-day menu operations. A focus on innovative AI applications to automate and optimize menu workflows will be essential to maintaining competitive advantage and operational efficacy.
With a fast-paced and owner-mentality culture, Subway expects its Sr. Director, Product - Menu to provide strong people leadership—building and mentoring a high-performing product and contractor team. The role demands a balance between strategic vision and hands-on project execution, requiring collaboration across Digital, 3PD, Marketing, PIM, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure alignment and success. Subway embraces transparency, accountability, and a culture of celebration and support, making this role ideal for driven leaders passionate about making a meaningful impact at a global scale.
This position entails up to 15% travel commitment and offers competitive compensation, including health insurance plans, pension or retirement savings plans, bonus opportunities, tuition reimbursement, mobility allowance, paid company holidays, and volunteering time. Join Subway Headquarters to build what’s next for the brand and its extensive franchise family.
