The role we are presenting is for a Senior Director of Operations/Utilities Business located in Dallas, TX. This senior leadership position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for managing daily operations and core functions within the operations division to drive and sustain operational excellence. The Senior Director ensures production and delivery are achieved in full, timely, and meet customer specifications, while pursuing the most competitive cost. They define and align operational financial goals with the wider strategic plans of the business unit and administer programs to meet these goals. On a typical day, this role involves defining operational business targets, directing activities across purchasing, production control, planning, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and logistics. The position requires regular stakeholder engagement, including monthly meetings with the executive business team and quarterly business reviews with key customers to evaluate key operating indicators and strategize for growth.

Beyond operational leadership, the Senior Director is charged with human resource strategies to recruit, develop, and retain a motivated and qualified workforce, ensuring the team has the capacity and expertise needed to meet organizational objectives. This role demands a strong command of both manufacturing processes and financial management, with experience overseeing operations across multiple shifts and managing a diverse mix of product volumes and complexities.
