With over 165 locations across the world and a steadfast commitment to authentic flavors, exceptional quality, and world-class hospitality, Din Tai Fung continues to expand its footprint, especially in North America. Known for its meticulous attention to detail and high standards, this brand has garnered a reputation for delivering consistently excellent dining experiences that celebrate both tradition and innovation.

This role is based in New York, NY, focusing on managing multiple high-volume restaurants including the flagship Manhattan location, a key site recognized for its complexity and strategic importance within the company. The position offers a salary range of $225,000 to $285,000 plus bonus, designed for a seasoned leader ready to make a significant impact at the highest level of hospitality operations.

The Sr. Director of Front of House Operations role encapsulates a leader-of-leaders position where operational excellence, guest experience, and team culture are paramount. This individual will directly coach and develop General Managers across 5 to 7 restaurant locations, ensuring that standards exceed expectations consistently. The emphasis is on creating an empowered front of house culture that drives talent development, accountability, and outstanding customer service.

The leader will have a comprehensive responsibility including ownership of the guest experience as a core key performance indicator by establishing and maintaining hospitality standards. Financial ownership of the portfolio is crucial, ensuring all locations meet sales, labor, and profitability targets while reporting progress to executive leadership.

Furthermore, this position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Facilities and People & Culture, reinforcing alignment and support across multiple departments. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, demanding a strong business acumen, skillful data analysis, and a continuous improvement mindset to sustain and enhance restaurant performance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-stakes environment, leading with a focus on excellence and sustainable growth.

As a part of Din Tai Fung’s leadership, the Sr. Director will implement formal talent development frameworks, succession planning, and operational process improvements. A passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating remarkable guest experiences underpin this leadership role, emphasizing accountability, development, and collaborative success. The opportunity is not just a job but a career path with prospects for growth and internal promotion within a celebrated international brand.
