Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to high school diploma
- five years’ previous work experience in customer service
- experience handling customer orders via order entry system
- strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ability to work in fast paced environment
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed
Job Qualifications
- Education equivalent to high school diploma
- five years’ previous experience in a customer service role
- experience handling customer orders on an order entry system
- ability to build strong positive customer business relationships
- strong working knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- associates degree or college accounting coursework preferred
- two years’ experience in manufacturing sector preferred
- experience using an automated order entry system preferred
- strong attention to customer expectations
- excellent communication skills
- strong analytical skills
- ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- experience working in a team environment preferred
Job Duties
- Receive, process, and track assigned orders through to scheduling
- consult with various internal departments to ensure order completeness, on-time delivery, and accurate invoicing
- communicate significant information regarding customer accounts and orders to appropriate internal departments including ensuring Sales Representatives are informed of pertinent activity
- coordinate customer requests for product specifications, availability, shipping, quotations and estimates, samples
- serve as a link between the customer and internal teams to meet customer requirements including scheduling production, securing delivery dates, addressing order changes, and resolving complaints
- maintain organized customer files
- investigate and resolve customer complaints including billing issues and escalate as needed
- manage on-hand inventory levels and reconcile to customer orders, forecasts, and just-in-time schedules
- provide direction and support to other customer service representatives and/or back up Customer Service Manager as needed
