The Sr. Corporate Event Planner role at ManpowerGroup is a pivotal position responsible for planning, managing, and delivering outstanding corporate events that engage both internal and external audiences. This role involves orchestrating a wide variety of in-person and virtual events at the company’s Global Headquarters, ensuring each event embodies the organization's mission, brand, and culture. As the Events Team Lead, the individual directs multiple event staff including Front Desk Ambassadors, Corporate Event Planners, and collaborates extensively with catering, audiovisual, security, and building services teams to facilitate seamless event execution.

This senior position demands a high level of expertise in corporate event planning, budget management, and team leadership. The Sr. Corporate Event Planner coordinates the event calendar, oversees event intake processes, and supports logistical arrangements required for high-stakes meetings, offsite venues, and large special events such as Bring Your Kids to Work Day. In addition to hands-on event execution, this role plays a critical part in mentoring team members, innovating event strategies, and maintaining productive relationships with leadership, executive admins, and community partners.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate events or the hospitality industry
  • proven success at producing and executing high quality meetings and events
  • successful track record of managing, monitoring and forecasting budgets and deadlines
  • ability to work "after hours" functions and off-site events
  • ability to manage day-of event requirements such as setup which may require lifting materials up to 40 lbs
  • proficient in Microsoft Office applications PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Office
  • proficiency in virtual event platforms such as ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, or Webex
  • high school diploma

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • oversee full events schedule and take lead for specific events to plan, manage, and deliver exceptional event experience
  • maintain schedule and processes for front desk and event experience, ensuring a positive experience for internal and external client and community organizations
  • collaborate with key partners to ensure event success and to identify and execute on opportunities for continuous improvement
  • develop relationships with leadership and executive admins through the successful planning and execution of high-level meetings and events
  • consult on event setup and support day-of logistics for 501c3 community partnerships hosting meetings at headquarters
  • coordinate with leadership to ensure events have appropriate welcome reinforcing the mission and local brand
  • provide event costs to stakeholders and oversee payment or internal chargebacks
  • support leadership meetings with travel logistics including hotel contracts and transportation
  • form partnerships and negotiate contracts with outside vendors for offsite venues, dinners, transportation, event materials, audiovisual, signage and décor
  • lead design and execution of specific HQ events like Bring Your Kids to Work Day
  • act as subject matter expert in leading tour and event guide program
  • ensure accurate data in visitor management system for events in partnership with building services
  • mentor events team and provide day-to-day direction on best practices
  • identify trends in corporate event planning and share knowledge with team to keep events contemporary and memorable
  • manage events calendar and booking of meeting room space coordinating with stakeholders
  • provide direction to events team
  • manage multiple events from inquiry through planning and execution, including early and after hours work
  • manage onsite events upwards of 150 events
  • other assigned accountabilities
