Job Description
Major League Baseball (MLB) stands as the most historic and celebrated professional sports league in the United States and Canada, embodying over a century of excellence, tradition, and a deep cultural impact that resonates with fans nationwide. At MLB, employee experience and organizational culture are paramount. The company promotes a collaborative environment where growth, teamwork, and professionalism are at the forefront. MLB is dedicated to fostering a workplace where innovation and employee empowerment are encouraged, often referring to their staff as "workforce athletes" who are supported to perform at their highest level through thoughtfully designed experiences and resources. This commitment ensures that employees are placed in prime positions to succeed while contributing meaningfully to America’s pastime. Major League Baseball is proud to maintain an equal opportunity workplace, fiercely committed to inclusivity and nondiscriminatory hiring practices regarding race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, and more, ensuring a fair and welcoming environment for all candidates. Colorado residents applying to MLB are protected in their right to redact age-identifying information without penalty, reflecting MLB's adherence to fair labor standards and inclusive hiring.
The Senior Coordinator, Player Engagement Logistics role is a critical position within MLB's Player Engagement team, responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support to ensure an exceptional experience for players and talent associated with the league. In this position, the coordinator supports the department head with calendar management, meeting coordination with high-profile external parties such as players, agents, celebrities, and talent managers, and other standard administrative duties. This role extends beyond administrative functions, focusing heavily on hospitality management to provide top-tier travel, lodging, and event logistics for the talent affiliated with MLB. The Senior Coordinator serves as the direct liaison for players and talent with regard to hospitality and logistical questions, ensuring their experience with MLB is seamless and professional.
Key responsibilities also involve managing tickets for players, talent, agents, and business partners, supporting various talent and celebrity programming initiatives, and assisting with Player Engagement activations. This position plays a pivotal role in movements and activations related to MLB’s Commissioner Ambassador Program (C.A.P.), guiding an A-to-Z hospitable experience that leaves lasting positive impressions on players and celebrities. Through proactive engagement, the Senior Coordinator gathers feedback from talent managers to continually evolve and enhance MLB's hospitality practices and overall service delivery.
This role requires a detail-oriented and flexible team player with strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and engagement experiences within the professional sports industry. The pay range for this position is $34.00 to $38.00 per hour, reflective of candidate experience, education, and MLB's holistic hiring criteria. With a focus on growth, professionalism, and team-first spirit, MLB invites candidates ready to rise and contribute to the storied legacy of America’s pastime to apply and make their mark in the major leagues.
