Job Description

Our client, a prominent player in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled SQL Developer II to join their team on a contract basis. Located in Chandler, AZ, this position requires a 100% onsite presence, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies and critical data operations that impact large-scale manufacturing processes. The role is contract-based with an engagement period of up to 18 months, structured through a W2 arrangement via a staffing supplier. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional flexibility needed to coordinate with the international team located in India. The pay rate for this position is $50 per hour.

This SQL Developer II role is vital for the development, maintenance, and continual enhancement of data import operations and database health monitoring. The professional will be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging complex issues related to importing massive volumes of data into critical databases and data warehouses. This includes managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) configuration and ensuring the accuracy and quality of data across the Athena lot cloning platform, which operates at multiple semiconductor manufacturing sites. The incumbent will be accountable for site onboarding, managing transformation rules, Oracle schema upkeep, and maintaining pipeline integrity from source ingestion to attribute history and current-state synchronization.

Proficiency in Oracle SQL covering DDL, DML, MERGE, and advanced analytic functions is a must. Additionally, a thorough understanding of ETL pipeline concepts and the ability to perform detailed data lineage analysis at the lot level is essential. Experience in running and interpreting outputs from .NET CLI-based ETL utilities is also necessary. The role demands close collaboration with engineering teams to convert business requirements into configurable pipeline behaviors, necessitating excellent communication and organizational skills.

Candidates who have a background in Oracle PL/SQL and attention to detail will excel in this position, which also occasionally supports SAP transactional bursts. While not mandatory, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes will be highly advantageous, further enriching the candidate's ability to contribute meaningfully to the organization's objectives.

In addition to core SQL development skills, candidates should have experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report development and be proficient in creating triggers, stored procedures, and SSIS packages. The position requires 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, and candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, particularly for US-based applicants. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a technologically advanced, dynamic environment with significant impact on large-scale data processing and manufacturing analytics.
