The company offers a contract opportunity for an SQL Database Analyst to join their talented team for a 12-month assignment. This is a contract position based in Tallahassee, FL, open only to candidates residing in Florida. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $40 to $45 per hour on a C2C basis. Candidates with prior experience working with state or federal clients are strongly preferred, and interview proceedings will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The SQL Database Analyst role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining centralized database structures and reporting tools that facilitate enterprise-wide decision support. The analyst will work closely with business analysts, team managers, and client representatives to gather and analyze business requirements, translate these into technical specifications, and develop solutions that meet the stringent demands of government reporting standards. Responsibilities include creating SQL and OLAP queries, managing data integration processes using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and generating ad hoc reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) critical to the client’s operations. The role also involves evaluating clinical quality measures as established by the National Quality Forum and compliance with Federal Electronic Health Record Meaningful Use Objectives. Communication skills are essential, as the analyst will facilitate specification review sessions, synthesize complex technical information for a variety of stakeholders, and ensure that project goals are clearly documented and understood. The opportunity allows professionals with at least five years of relevant experience to contribute to impactful projects in the public sector while honing their skills in SQL database management and enterprise reporting infrastructure. Job Requirements

  • Candidate must reside in Florida
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing database structures and design
  • Minimum of five years experience maintaining centralized data reporting infrastructure
  • Minimum of five years writing SQL and OLAP queries
  • Minimum of five years experience with SSAS and SSIS or similar tools
  • Minimum of five years performing requirements analysis and generating ad hoc reports
  • Minimum of five years conducting technical specification reviews
  • Prior state or federal client experience required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of documented experience managing database structures and design
  • Minimum of five years documented experience maintaining centralized data reporting infrastructure for enterprise-wide decision support
  • Minimum of five years writing relational and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) database queries using SQL
  • Minimum of five years working with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar
  • Minimum of five years performing requirements analysis and generating ad hoc reports
  • Minimum of five years conducting technical specifications reviews and providing guidance and feedback
  • Prior experience working with state or federal clients

Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and submit reporting tools and data management routines that populate centralized datasets used for reporting based on functional specifications
  • Evaluate and submit business requirements and determine key performance indicators to be evaluated by the client to establish priority as assigned by the client
  • Analyze and submit business requirements for key performance indicators identified by the client as a priority, Clinical Quality Measures established by the National Quality Forum and Federal EHR Meaningful Use Objectives
  • Use the business requirements to develop report specifications utilizing Microsoft Office tools
  • Facilitate specification reviews with business analysts and team managers as assigned by the client
  • Ensure a defined agenda is communicated to participants, provide a common understanding of terms and definitions, synthesize ideas, track discussions and provide clear summaries of the discussion and decisions in oral and written form
  • Complete job required training as assigned by the client
