Job Description
LifeBridge Health is a dynamic, purpose-driven health system dedicated to redefining care delivery across the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Anchored by its mission to "improve the health of people in the communities we serve," LifeBridge Health operates strategically through five leading centers in the Baltimore area: Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Grace Medical Center, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. With over 14,000 employees, 130 care locations, and two million annual patient encounters, LifeBridge Health emphasizes innovation, community-focused care, and a strong organizational culture rooted in courage, compassion, and urgency. The organization is committed to fostering equality, fully complying with Federal civil rights laws, and maintaining a workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity and expression.
As part of its ongoing commitment to excellence, LifeBridge Health is seeking a dedicated Manager for its Food and Nutrition Department. This role requires overseeing daily operations within the department to ensure efficient, high-quality food service tailored especially for patient care environments. The Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising and directing staff activities to maintain compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements from governmental and accrediting agencies. Positioned within a health system known for its collaborative culture and support for professional growth, the Manager will also serve as a liaison among patients, families, physicians, and staff to promote positive customer service and satisfaction. In addition to managing regular operational tasks such as audits, meal preparation inspections, and equipment maintenance, the Manager will be actively involved in staff training and development, contributing to department meetings, and fostering a safe and professional work environment that aligns with LifeBridge Health’s mission and vision.
This position offers competitive compensation, including additional pay opportunities such as overtime, shift differentials, premium pay, and bonuses where applicable. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, tuition reimbursement, career development opportunities, and wellness programs that support employees in both their professional and personal lives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, excellent organizational abilities, and a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service within a healthcare setting. By joining LifeBridge Health in this capacity, the Manager will contribute significantly to advancing health access and enhancing patient outcomes through quality nutrition services, making a meaningful impact on the community served by the health system.
